Driven by a profound love for nature, a pursuit of beauty, and an insatiable thirst for adventure, I have dedicated over four decades to solo travel and photography.
My journey has culminated in an authentic and inspired photo collection designed to evoke a natural high and awaken memories of places visited or dreamed of exploring.
My love of photography began in the 70s while working as a flight attendant and studying at the Art Institute of Atlanta. I carried my 35mm camera, lenses, and tripod on flights, capturing moments during layovers. I developed my photos in a darkroom and submitted them to worldwide contests, exhibitions, and galleries.
My greatest joy and satisfaction is seeking and capturing the beauty of nature rather than external validation. Although I've entered only two contests in the past five years, I've achieved the National Award Winner title in one contest and received an Honorable Mention in the 2023 Crested Butte Wildflower Contest, competing against over 500 entries.
As a nature photographer, I focus on landscapes and wildlife. However, traveling free on standby flights has also allowed me to capture breathtaking scenes from places like Bali, Croatia, Greece, Italy, and New Zealand.
From 2015 to 2017, I spent my summers outdoors, sleeping in my Honda Element in National Parks and mountain towns in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and other states.
I embarked on two five-month photo journeys during the summers of 2023 and 2024, living full-time in my Ford F-150 (outfitted as an Overlander) while exploring ten western states. I slept for free on BLM land, in neighborhoods, and parking lots, cooking meals on my truck's tailgate.
In the black of the night, I drove to scenic locations to capture one-of-a-kind sunrises. I hiked up treacherous mountains for sunset views with my tripod strapped to my back, risking encounters with grizzly bears.
There's an undeniable rush in standing so close to bison, elk, and moose as I anticipate capturing that extraordinary moment, all while knowing I'm pushing the limits of safety.
Facing the challenges of living on a modest Social Security income and recognizing the value of my art inspired me to share my work for the first time in March of 2025.
When you purchase my photos, you invite a lifetime of memories into your home, capturing the magnificent beauty of nature and the world.
Thank you for your support and for being a witness to my journey.
